Cockpit
The working deck measures 17’ x 11’ and features a transom tuna door and 24 rod holders (12 in gunnels / 4 on tower stairs / 4 on exterior engine box). The main center deck hatch measures 6’ x 3’ and is drainable . There are two Freeman hatches one allows access to the dual ram rudder post and one allows easy access to shaft alley behind the transmission. The cockpit has two size wash down faucets. Most importantly is the gunnel height is above the knee of an average person.

Cabin House
Entry to the cabin is facilitated by port and starboard doors with the well cushioned engine box providing seating between doors. This engine box slides forward for easy servicing. The deck has port and starboard hatch access to the engine and mechanical room. The helmseat is a custom aluminum swivel adjusting lockable Garlick chair. Windows have a wood trim and the forward port and starboard window open. The ceiling has ample sound proof headliner with wood trim.

Forward Cabin House:
Port side entry forward leads to a spacious salon with a separate unfinished head that allows access to hydraulics and fuel filter. The room has an engine bus heater with a large V-berth that features ample storage under the oversized bunks. Extra rod holders are found over the V-berth. Overhead is a large Bomar opening hatch for ventilation.

Tuna Tower
The aluminum tower built by renowned expert Noell Redmon has ample seating for 2-4 people with full padding for comfort in a seaway. Morse controls and Hydro-slave handle the operations. The frame is set for easy installation of a roof and clear drop panels break the wind. The antennas run off the mounts provided.

Downeast hull designs are known for their soft, dry ride. They ride at relatively flat angles at all speed ranges. Moreover, like many private airplanes, their single engine design cuts fuel and maintenance costs in half and a keel that gives the best protection to the propeller and rudder possible
