RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A WILBUR DOWNEASTER
DESCRIPTION: WILD DUCK is one of the rare Downeaster models that came out of the Wilbur Yard. The original soft top was removed and the Wilbur Yard installed a hardtop in 2007. This boat combines classic “neck-breaking” looks with sturdy sea kindly performance that the knowledgeable have come to know and trust from a Wilbur. Current owner is moving to a smaller vessel and ready to sell to the right buyer.
ACCOMODATIONS
To create an open feel, the forward cabin area consists of one area containing a V-berth, hanging locker, galley and enclosed head with separate stall shower, the headroom down below is approximately 6'3". The cabin is finished in white Formica and gel coat with varnished teak bulkheads, drawers, doors and moldings. A teak and holly cabin sole helps create a warm feeling. The forward cabin is ventilated with one large opening hatch, a galley vent and 6 opening ports. The forward V-berth has a filler piece, substantial storage underneath and ash ceilings cover the hull sides. The head is equipped with a fresh water electric head, hot and cold running water and custom teak grating on the sole in both the head and separate stall shower.
ENGINE
Single Caterpillar 3208TA, 320 hp. 2,138 hours. Cruises at 13± knots (@2300 rpm), max speed 17± knots (@2800 rpm).

TANKAGE
Holds 208 gallons of fuel in aluminum saddle tanks (104 gallon each) with a fuel gauge at the helm, 76 gallons of water in plastic saddle tanks (38 gallons each) and has a 25 gallon (plastic) holding tank with macerator pump and ability to discharge overboard or to a pumpout station.

Teak decking on bridge deck, teak toe rail, teak anchor platform, teak cockpit coamings, flag blue Awl grip, 2/3 width teak rear bench seat, teak table at bridge deck, custom teak pedestal for the dual trumpet horn on the trunk cabin, teak bow pulpit with windlass and custom teak helm seat and Nav seat.
Galley
Aft of the V-berth is an L-shaped galley with ample counter top space. The 3-burner CNG cook-top stove with oven is in great condition having seen very little use. A large stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurized water handles large pots and pans easily. The AC/DC Norcold Fridge is sized to allow for plenty of storage for those relaxing getaways. The storage of crockery and food stuffs is accomplished with an abundance of custom cabinets and drawers.

The vessel comes with custom covers for the aft bench, custom salon table and custom cooler for the cockpit. The teak swim platform is a great staging area for boarding when approaching the vessel by dingy and the transom door makes access a breeze. Bow rail has a stainless pennant post while the teak transom ensign lets all know the captain is aboard. 1 ¾” AQ22 propeller shaft, five-blade NiBral propeller, Large barn door SS rudder for ease of maneuverability, Hynautic steering, Twenty Five-gallon holding tank with Y-valve and discharge pump, pressurized freshwater system (Jabsco) with outlets in cockpit, two Rule automatic bilge pumps with control panel at helm, One high water bilge pump with alarm, 10 gallon heat exchanged/110-volt AC/hot water heater, fireboy system in engine room with manual activation at helm.
The Cockpit is equipped with boarding steps, a teak gaff, custom teak varnished ceiling, two Lee rod holders and a custom faux painted aluminum mast with rigging.
