"Every once in awhile a project comes along that incorporates all the benefits that a Maine-built boat can deliver. The Betsy, launched by Wilbur Yachts on May 15, 2010, after a close to three-year-long building process was one of those projects. As the boat's owner, Dr. Klein said, “This project combines the classic lines of a Maine lobsterboat with modern technology judiciously implemented to produce a 'green' boat.”"

"Southwest Harbor — In 1979, there was an article in a yachting magazine about a boat called Annalokin, which was built by the Lee S. Wilbur Co. in Manset for the man who founded Friendly Ice Cream Corporation, Curtis Blake.
A boating enthusiast clipped that article because he liked the looks of the yacht so much."

I'm told it was a picture-perfect, Indian summer morning in mid-November when Jerry and Diane Lynch launched their new 38 Wilbur/Duffy Lonrach--the perfect day for a boat whose namesake means "brilliant" in Gaelic, to ease her hunter-green hull into the crisp, Maine water for her maiden voyage to her homeport in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.....click link to read article
